HSC School Excursion
PhysXrehab Health & Movement Science Programs
Year 11 & Year 12
All practical components will be delivered by our sports physiotherapists, strength & conditioning staff and sports science on-site at PhysXrehab and Cromer Park.
We can accommodate up to 80 students for one school excursion and/or depth study where we would divide the group into smaller teaching groups, with each group experiencing a different practical element or component of that specific part of the syllabus. Costing will be tailored in discussion with your school regarding student numbers and total session time and visits.
All our excursions are 6 hours; however, this can be adjusted depending on your specific schools’ requirements. We would be more than happy to discuss these details with you further or answer any questions you may have related to the depth study of choice. Please note that for your current year 11s we will still be offering several programs which have already delivered to 12 schools across NSW.
Please review our videos of our school excursions, program design & education, as well as our facilities that we have available at PhysXrehab.
To discuss our HSC-HMS school excursion options please feel free to call Steve Felsher on 0466 258 954.
Testimonials
The experience my Year 12 PDHPE class gained at PhysXrehab, Cromer Park was authentic and relevant. Being able to provide my students with a hands-on learning experience to match the content-heavy theory work was fantastic. The facilities, equipment, set-up and structure of the day were tailor-made to the students learning. The team at PhysXrehab were knowledgeable and familiar with the Stage 6 syllabus, in turn, able to link ideas and learning on a practical level to suit the needs of my students. A big thanks to Steve, Luke and the team
PhysXrehab provided a real-life practical teaching experience for our Year 11 students which was highly relevant to the content they have been learning in class. With a large focus on ‘performance’ in the topic, the excursion effectively covered areas such as types of training, energy systems and skill acquisition, linking each area directly back to the Stage 6 PDHPE Syllabus with explicit sporting examples to enhance understanding.
The 3 sessions were delivered to small groups, allowing for higher levels of engagement and opportunity for learning. The staff were professional and knowledgeable in their area and provided the students with an abundance of information as well as the opportunity to participate in a range of practical activities to apply their knowledge and understanding. The PhysXrehab facilities were excellent with ample space for the practical components of the excursion along with a range of equipment for the students to experiment with and learn how to use safely and effectively
The PDH HSC excursion provided an engaging and hands-on learning experience directly aligned with syllabus outcomes of our current unit. Students were engaged by practical tasks that linked well to their upcoming assessment while also providing a range of different examples that can be used in their final exam. Both Steve and Luke were fantastic facilitators, and the students really enjoyed their day, particularly getting to use equipment such as the GPS tools and participating in Ice baths! We will definitely be back next year for the new syllabus in this stage 6 space
The team at PhysXrehab provided my students with the opportunity to really experience some of the theoretical content that is part of the PDHPE syllabus. The mix of information and practical sessions kept them engaged and allowed them to develop a deeper understanding of specific content areas that should assist them in their upcoming HSC exam. The staff are professional, friendly and approachable and this allowed my students to feel comfortable in asking questions. The ice/contrast baths and the specific rehabilitation of a hamstring injury were the sessions most enjoyed. Overall, a valuable learning experience that definitely gives that edge that students need to do well in PDHPE.
Students really enjoyed the day, and it help consolidate a lot of the theory we had covered in the course.
Our sessions went well, and the girls enjoyed it saying that it was relevant and informative. They responded well to the activities that Luke presented.
I think the day was really good and it engaged the students. It addressed everything we had hoped so thank you for your effort with Luke and Will to put the day together.
The day was perfect. I just wish we could have done this before our trials as there was a question on this in the exam. Shame about the weather, but I think it all went well. I can’t wait to see you guys again for HMS.
Narrabeen Sports High School had the pleasure of collaborating with Steve and his team at PhysX Rehab. Their PDHPE-HSC focused program demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to the health and development of our students. Their team of highly skilled physiotherapists provided invaluable support and knowledge linking to the Stage 6 PDHPE Syllabus. An excellent educational workshops tailored specifically for our student.
Steve and his team at PhysXrehab provided our Year 12 PDHPE cohort with an invaluable learning experience when we attended their workshop to support the content taught in the Sports Medicine course. The day was well organised with a variety of practical learning opportunities which was explicitly linked to the NESA Stage 6 PDHPE course. Content from Factors Affecting Performance, Sports Medicine and Improving Performance was consistently touched on throughout the activities and the examples provided on the day will help my students provide solid examples in their upcoming Trial examination. Our students particularly enjoyed the use of technology like force plates and GPS to support their understanding of key concepts and the ice bath practical was good fun. Look forward to bringing our cohort next year.
Steve and his team were well organised and created positive and practical learning experiences for the students. Their depth of knowledge and understanding of how to deliver the content was excellent and kept the students engaged.
Steve and Luke from PhysXrehab provided outstanding workshops for our students on the principles of training. They led our students through various on-field and gym-based activities which included fitness testing protocols and strength training. The sessions were engaging and educational for our students. Their professionalism and knowledge of the content was most impressive and appreciated.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team and yourself for Friday’s excursion! Our boys absolutely loved it, many of them saying “best excursion we’ve ever been on”. We have been dissecting the day in class and relating it back to the syllabus and can honestly say it was so helpful for our students. I have passed our excursion details on to some friends at other schools and we can’t wait to bring both year 11 and year 12 back next year.
Thank you for yesterday, it was really beneficial for school students to have a practical experience in terms of injury rehabilitation. The presenters were knowledgeable, and the activities were great for prompting students to ask questions and engage with syllabus concepts.
Steve and Luke provided our Year 12 students with a comprehensive coverage of important syllabus dot points. Our students were engaged in practical and theoretical learning activities throughout the day including demonstrations and guided learning experiences. Attending Physx was a highly beneficial and enjoyable excursion for our students in preparation for their HSC. Steve and the team were very accommodating and supportive of our student’s needs. I look forward to returning to Physx with future Year 12 cohorts.
