Steve Felsher and his team of physiotherapists at PhysX Rehab have been part of the Manly United Football Club for the past ten years. Our staff are highly skilled in assessing and treating sports and spinal injuries with a special interest in the adolescent athlete and football injuries. We understand the importance of conducting a thorough subjective and objective examination to provide you with an accurate diagnosis of your injury.

Steve is our principal physiotherapist and Head of Medical & Sports Science at Manly United Football Club. In 2000, Steve’s impeccable physiotherapy results earned him the opportunity to work at the Sydney Olympic Games. He also worked with the South African Olympic Football team for two Olympic campaigns. Steve was appointed Head Physiotherapist for the Natal Sharks Super Rugby team for four seasons, Natal Dolphins (state-level cricket) and for the AmaZulu Football Club in the South African Football Premier league for five seasons.
Steve has years of experience working in the corporate sector, high performance and private practice and is recognised by his clients as a standout physiotherapist, known for getting positive results quickly. Steve has a passion for injury reduction and prevention programs, with a special interest in adolescent sports injuries.

Luke graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has also attained his Level 2 Sports Training accreditation. He is currently the Lead Physiotherapist for the WPL team at Manly United Football Club. Luke has completed an advanced course in Strength & Conditioning with Frans Bosch and is an ASCA level 2 accredited coach. Luke has currently enrolled at ACU to do his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.
Luke has worked with Steve at Manly United FC for several years, gaining extensive knowledge in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating an array of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Luke is dedicated to helping clients, patients and athletes reach their goals in eliminating pain and improving overall function.
Will Carter
BAppSc (Physiotherapy) (Hons) (USYD)
ASCA Level 1 Accredited Coach
Will graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy and achieved First Class Honours.
He was a Manly United junior football player and continues to play in the MWFA premier league. He has worked alongside Steve and Luke through his time as a student and continues his passion for football by getting players back on the field as quickly and safely as possible. Will strongly believes in an exercise-based approach to physiotherapy, and works to teach clients ways to manage their current condition and prevent further issues.
Will maintains a strong and active lifestyle and enjoys running, tennis, swimming and hiking and has a great love for the outdoors.
Dr Nicole Sly
Dr Nicole Sly is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician, consulting each week from PhysXrehab, seeing MUFC players and the general public.
She has experience supporting elite athletes on the international stage in Rugby Union, 7s, Rowing and Triathlon, as well as providing medical services to A-League and W-League teams.
Dr Sly has a particular interest in treating children and adolescents, supporting them to achieve their sporting goals and future health and wellbeing. While working at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Institute of Sports Medicine (CHISM) and in Paediatric Emergency, she developed an appreciation of the unique needs of children and their families.
Dr Sly is passionate about applying the skills learned working with elite athletes to all her patients, helping them achieve their personal best. Prior to studying medicine, she worked as a Physiotherapist and believes that an active rehabilitation plan is essential, as well as collaborating with other health and performance professionals to ensure a smooth recovery and prevent future injury.
Sport and Exercise Medicine Specialists may assist with:
- Musculoskeletal pain or injury, particularly where further investigation or medical treatment may be needed
- Concussion diagnosis and management
- Fatigue, ‘burn-out’, frequent illness or injury
- Female athlete concerns
- Pre-participation athlete screening
- Managing medical conditions in athletes
- Exercise prescription in chronic illness
Sport and Exercise Physicians are doctors who have undergone postgraduate Specialist training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.
In order to receive a Medicare rebate, a referral from a doctor or GP is required.
An exception is made for consultations regarding Concussions or head injuries (no GP referral needed)

Rachel Malone
Rachel is a dedicated Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about empowering individuals to transform their health and wellness goals into a reality. With a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Sydney and a BSc in Human Nutrition from University College Dublin, Rachel possesses a strong foundation in nutrition. Rachel gained valuable experience as a sports dietitian working with the High-Performance team at the GWS Giants in the season 2022-2023.
Rachel also works with the Nourished Lifestyle Co. in Sports Lab, Alexandria, where she combines her robust knowledge with a personalised approach. She’s adept at crafting tailored, evidence-based nutrition plans to meet individual sports and health goals. In her spare time, Rachel’s active with resistance training, outdoor adventures, and exploring new cafes.
